ABOUT ME
A FILIPINO-AMERICAN ARTIST, BORN AND RAISED IN SINGAPORE, BASED IN NEW YORK CITY
I loved the arts as a kid! For me, music & dance became a SECOND LANGUAGE. JOY WAS MOVEMENT. I connected with others through dance, no matter how reluctant they were. My first memory was during kindergarten graduation, where I danced to “Billy Jean” & “Hey Mickey." It was fabulous! :)
After my first theatre class, I was captivated. Moving to the U.S., I was the only boy in a class of 14 girls, and our first performance was “Let’s Hear It for the Boy.” Many thought being the solo boy was a joke. I felt small & alone, but as I took the stage, no one could tell me I was in the wrong place. I could relive that performance vividly. That was when I realized what theatre meant to me. I was alive, unafraid, and wholeheartedly myself.
Music is joy. Dance is Unapologetic Expression. Theatre is a life worth exploring. I’ll continue telling stories, sharing my endearingly awkward charm, and enjoying it thoroughly!
